Caster Correction Bush Kit

These have been requested by customers on a number of occasions......so here they are!

From one of the leading manufacturers, a set of Caster Correction bushes - SuperPro Kit SPF1877K

When you have carried out a spring lift on your Jimny you will find that the steering becomes vague and the steering does not centre after you let go of the steering. This is because the caster angle has altered. These bushes provide correction for 2" lifts and improve correction for 3" lifts.

You can see from the pictures below that these are more than just "Rubber Bushes". The Bushes themselves are shaped for performance and the inserts are knurled for stability once fitted. The kit includes the polythene grease required for smooth movement of the bush, the moulding is shaped to retain the grease, maximising the life of the bush.

I have not fitted these as my Jimny already has them. However I have replaced the similar bushes in the rear trailing arms and you should be aware that the original Suzuki bushes are difficult to remove and could well need access to a hydraulic press. I paid my local garage £10 to press mine out. Andy, from this website, has informed me that the new bushes are much easier to fit than the old ones are to remove, simply installing them with a Vice and Rubber Mallet. The instructions in the pack are very general and are not specific to Caster Correction. The picture below (blatently stolen from the Internet!) shows how they should be orientated.

Is it Caster Correction or Castor Correction? - searching the web shows both spellings, so I have used both here to let search engines find me!
